The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of using animated videos on junior high school students’ mathematics learning outcomes in algebra. The background of this study is based on the low level of understanding of abstract algebraic concepts and the low ranking of Indonesian students’ mathematics abilities according to PISA results. In this study, animated videos were designed interactively using the Animaker platform, with the aim of visualizing algebraic concepts in an interesting and easy-to-understand manner. This study employed a quantitative experimental method with a One-Shot Case Study design. Data were collected from 32 students in Class 7A through observation, learning outcome tests, and student response questionnaires. Data analysis utilized simple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 27. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the use of animated videos to improve student learning outcomes in complex mathematics lessons such as algebra.
